- If multiple business relationships are reported, at least one (suspicious) BiParty transaction must be entered per reported business relationship (or account);

- If you only wish to report a single bank account rather than the entire business relationship, a bank statement showing the current balance will suffice;

As of 1 January 2023, financial intermediaries may, under certain conditions, terminate a business relationship that was the subject of an STR or SAR – regardless of whether the report was made pursuant to Art. 9 para. 1 let. a AMLA or Art. 305ter para. 2 SCC – upon expiry of a period of 40 working days following the date of receipt indicated on the acknowledgement receipt of the STR/SAR.
Financial intermediaries must notify MROS without delay if they terminate a business relationship previously reported to MROS.
This provision does not apply to business relationships mentioned in reports that have been forwarded to law enforcement authorities.
The content of such termination notifications of a business relationship is set out in Art. 3 para. 1bis MROSO.
Notifications submitted online: In goAML, create a ‘new message’ and select ‘CANCL/CANCT’. On the online form, enter the STR/SAR reference number, the affected accounts, the termination date, etc.
Detailed instructions can be found under 'Procedure for notifying termination notification of a business relationship pursuant to Art. 9b AMLA – Entering a CANCL/CANCT report’.
