- physical and/or psychological abuse or mistreatment committed by members of armed forces (including torture, abduction, deportation, rape, looting);
- an attack directed against the civilian population (including bodily harm or killing);
- an attack on civilian property (including ambulances, hospitals, cultural property, schools and religious buildings);
- mistreatment of members of armed forces who have laid down their arms
