Non-firearms

(Contract required, but not subject to notification)

You need a written contract in order to acquire non-firearms; you and the person providing the weapon must retain this contract for 10 years. The contract must contain details of the person acquiring the weapon, the person transferring the weapon or the weapon dealer.

Foreign nationals who do not hold a C settlement permit require a weapon acquisition permit for all weapons and their essential components. They must submit the relevant application to the cantonal weapons office in the canton where they live.
