Emre Ertan

Vice Director & Head of the Police Systems and Identification Directorate

Emre Ertan has been vice director and head of the Police Systems and Identification Directorate since 1 May 2019. After completing his studies in Forensic Science at the University of Lausanne, he served in various functions with the Cantonal Police of Neuchâtel from 1998 to 2019, most recently as deputy commander. During this time, he was also director of the Interregional Police Training Centre in Western Switzerland, from 2015 to 2017. Since 1 March 2025, he has been a member of the Foundation Board of the Swiss Police Institute.
