Swiss Coordination Unit for Cybercrime Control (CYCO)
The Swiss Coordination Unit for Cybercrime Control (CYCO) is the central office where persons can report suspect content on the Internet, including:
- hardcore pornography (sexual acts with children, animals, human excrement
or acts of violence) - Depiction of violence
- Extremism
- Racism
- Unlawful entry into IT systems
- Spreading of computer viruses
- Destruction of data
- Creditcard misuse
- Violation of copyrights
- Illegal arms trade
After an initial examination of the report and securing of data CYCO forwards the report to the respective prosecution authorities at home and abroad. CYCO also monitors the Internet regularly for criminal subject matter and is responsible for in-depth analysis of cybercrime.
